Besides spreading the message of kindness and understanding, it also sets out to organize charity events and activities to alleviate the plight of the needy and unfortunate.<br \/><br \/>Registered under the Malaysian Companies Act on the 25th of May 1999, the foundation is presently located in Subang Jaya and currently enjoys a membership of about 1,000 followers.<br \/><br \/>Before its formation, a group of dedicated volunteers led by Datuk Tan Swee Lai organized the first ever large scale stage production titled \u201cThousand Arms Thousand Eyes Theatrical Performance\u201d. This production featuring top class performers from China, supported by many local artistes, was a runway success with all 12 shows completely sold out. Inspired by this success, Datuk and this group of volunteers decided to form an organization to propagate the teachings of Buddha and to spread his message of kindness and compassion to all. As a result of their determination, the Guan Yin Foundation was established to further justify their noble cause and undertakings for society.<br \/><br \/><\/p><h3>Objectives<\/h3><ul><li>To further develop Buddhism.<\/li><li>To promote and inspire cultural education.<\/li><li>To help the less fortunate.<br \/><br \/><\/li><\/ul><h3>Activities<\/h3><p><u><i>Art &amp; Culture Bureau<\/i><\/u><\/p><ul><li>Theatrical performances, dramas, art exhibition and choir groups.<\/li><\/ul><p><u><i>Education Bureau<\/i><\/u><\/p><ul><li>Volunteers skill training, drama acting and directing classes, sign languages and dance classes for the deaf, self development camps, teamwork camps, dharma classes and overseas pilgrimages.<br \/><u><i><\/i><\/u><\/li><\/ul><p><u><i>Welfare &amp; Charity Bureau<\/i><\/u><\/p><ul><li>Blood donation campaigns, visits to orphanage, donating an ambulance to SJAB, donations to various university\u2019s dharma societies and youth groups, volunteer vacation trips, recycling projects, helpers\u2019 groups, puja and empowerments, and volunteers get together groups,<br \/><u><i><\/i><\/u><\/li><\/ul><p><u><i>Publication &amp; Information Bureau<\/i><\/u><\/p><ul><li>Publication of books, creating web pages and sites, newsletters, library project, dharma teaching transcribing group and e-books project.<br \/><br \/><\/li><\/ul><h3>Large-scale Event Production and Activities<\/h3><p>Some of the major events we have promoted include:<br \/><br \/><\/p><ol><li>Organized the \u201cThousand Eyes Thousand Arms Theatrical Performance\u201d in 1999 and 2001 to propagate the spirit of compassion and selflessness of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. This performance was an artistic collaboration of China and local art and cultural performers, and was a success with all 22 shows being sold out.<\/li><li>Organized \u201cLove in Heart, Kindness in Action\u201d resource recycling project, to promote awareness about our environment.<\/li><li>Sponsored the 16th Varsity Buddhist Youths Camp.<\/li><li>Collaborated with the blood bank unit of the University of Malaya to organise blood donation campaign semi-annually, to spread the message of a loving and caring society.<\/li><li>Organized the program \u201cAwakening Encounter \u2013 Meeting His Holiness Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche\u201d in 2003, an event comprising Buddhist teachings and prayers, empowerment ceremonies, and large scale performances.<\/li><li>Organized \u201cSerene Night\u201d annually since 2001 to promote Wesak Celebration.<\/li><li>Organized \u201cMagic Mirror &#8211; The Musical\u201d in 2008, integrating talents from Malaysia and China with well received.<\/li><li>Initiated the choir in 2010 performing Serene Hymns to spread the message of peace and harmony to various places, during \u201cSerene Month\u201d in conjunction with Wesak Month celebration.<\/li><li>Organized 10 shows of the musical performance \u201cMagic Mirror \u2013 The Musical\u201d in 2011, in Istana Budaya, which featured highly talented casts comprising of performing artistes from Malaysia and China.<\/li><li>Leading students from ASWARA Dance Academy to join \u201cHongtougu\u201d China-ASEAN Art Education Achievement meet\u201d in November 2012.<\/li><li>Organized 6 shows of the musical performance \u201cMagic Mirror \u2013 The Musical\u201d in 2011, in Fo Guang Shan, Kaoh Siung, Taiwan.<\/li><li>Organized \u201cAffinity with Nan Yang\u201d dance performance by the top youth dancers from China and Malaysia at Istana Budaya in February 2013.<\/li><li>Joint organizer for \u201cChinese Ethnic Song &amp; Dance Gala Show\u201d at Istana Budaya in October 2013, an international dance performance featuring world renowned Dancer Mdm Yang Liping and other first class dancers from China.<\/li><\/ol><ol><li style=\"list-style-type: \u89c2\u97f3\u57fa\u91d1\u4f1a\u7684\u521b\u529e\u7f18\u8d77\u4e8e 1999\u5e74\u4e3e\u529e\u7684\u300a\u5343\u624b\u5343\u773c\u300b\u821e\u5267\uff0c\u8fd9\u90e8\u7531\u4e2d\u9a6c\u4e24\u56fd\u6587\u5316\u827a\u672f\u5de5\u4f5c\u8005\u8054\u624b\u5448\u732e\u7684\u5927\u578b\u821e\u5267\uff0c\u6210\u529f\u5728\u5927\u9a6c\u821e\u53f0\u521b\u4e0b\u5341\u4e8c\u573a\u5168\u7a0b\u7206\u6ee1\u7684\u8bb0\u5f55\u3002<br \/><br \/>\u300a\u5343\u624b\u5343\u773c\u300b\u821e\u5267\u7a7a\u524d\u7684\u6f14\u51fa\u6210\u529f\uff0c\u4fc3\u6210\u89c2\u97f3\u57fa\u91d1\u4f1a\u5168\u4f53\u7406\u4e8b\u4f1a\u7acb\u613f\uff0c\u901a\u8fc7\u827a\u672f\u6f14\u51fa\u7684\u706b\u82b1\uff0c\u51dd\u805a\u5e9e\u5927\u7684\u4e49\u5de5\u56e2\u961f\u529b\u91cf\uff0c\u5171\u540c\u63a8\u52a8\u53ca\u8d5e\u52a9\u4e86\u591a\u9879\u6148\u5584\u3001\u6587\u5316\u3001\u6559\u80b2\u7684\u6d3b\u52a8\u3002<br \/><br \/>\u89c2\u97f3\u57fa\u91d1\u4f1a\u521b\u529e\u81f3\u4eca\uff0c\u5728\u8463\u4e8b\u5c40\uff0c\u7406\u4e8b\u4f1a\u53ca\u4e00\u7fa4\u4e49\u5de5\u56e2\u961f\u4eec\u7684\u9f50\u5fc3\u534f\u529b\u9886\u5bfc\u4e0b\uff0c\u672c\u7740\u5b66\u4e60\u53ca\u4f53\u73b0\u89c2\u97f3\u83e9\u8428\u201c\u5343\u5904\u7948\u6c42\u5343\u5904\u5e94\u201d\u7684\u6148\u60b2\u6d4e\u4e16\u7684\u7cbe\u795e\uff0c\u957f\u671f\u4e3a\u5b97\u6559\u3001\u6587\u5316\u3001\u6559\u80b2\u53ca\u6148\u5584\u65b9\u9762\u5c3d\u4e00\u5206\u7ef5\u529b\u3002<\/p><h3>\u89c2\u97f3\u57fa\u91d1\u4f1a\u7684\u4e3b\u8981\u76ee\u6807\u6709\uff1b<\/h3><p><b>1.1 \/><br \/><b>1.3 \u81f4\u529b\u4e8e\u6551\u6025\u6d4e\u8d2b\u5de5\u4f5c<\/b><br \/><br \/>\u4e0d\u5206\u79cd\u65cf\u3001\u5b97\u6559\u8d5e\u52a9\u6e05\u5bd2\u751f\u6559\u80b2\u53ca\u8f85\u5bfc\u8d39\u7528\uff0c\u652f\u52a9\u5b64\u513f\u3001\u8001\u4eba\u3001\u6b8b\u969c\u4eba\u58eb\u3001\u75c5\u9ece\u3001\u707e\u9ece\u7b49\uff1b\u9881\u53d1\u4f18\u79c0\u5b66\u751f\u5956\u5b66\u91d1\u3001\u8bbe\u7acb\u8f85\u5bfc\u670d\u52a1\u7b49\u3002<\/p><h3><u><b>\u66fe\u4e3b\u529e\u5927\u578b\u6f14\u51fa\u53ca\u6d3b\u52a8 \uff1a<\/b><\/u><\/h3><ol><li>1999\u5e74\u53ca2001\u5e74\u4e3e\u529e&lt;&lt;\u5343\u624b\u5343\u773c&gt;&gt;\u821e\u5267\u4ee5\u5f18\u626c\u89c2\u97f3\u83e9\u8428\u5927\u6148\u5927\u60b2\u7684\u7cbe\u795e\u3002\u8fd9\u90e8\u7531\u4e2d\u9a6c\u4e24\u56fd\u6587\u5316\u827a\u672f\u5de5\u4f5c\u8005\u8054\u624b\u5448\u732e\u7684\u821e\u5267\uff0c\u6210\u529f\u521b\u4e0b\u5171\u4e8c\u5341\u4e8c\u573a\u5168\u7a0b\u7206\u6ee1\u7684\u8bb0\u5f55\u3002<\/li><li>\u4e3b\u529e&lt;&lt;\u7231\u4e8e\u5fc3\uff0c\u5584\u4e8e\u884c&gt;&gt;\u8d44\u6e90\u56de\u6536\u6d3b\u52a8\uff0c\u63d0\u5021\u73af\u4fdd\u3002<\/li><li>\u8d5e\u52a9\u7b2c\u5341\u516d\u5c4a\u5927\u4e13\u4f5b\u9752\u751f\u6d3b\u8425\u3002<\/li><li>\u6bcf\u5e74\u914d\u5408\u9a6c\u5927\u533b\u9662\u8840\u5e93\u673a\u6784\u4e3e\u529e
