Teaching by Khenpo Yeshe, March 2007

khenpoy_0Khenpo Yeshe, concerned for the authentic practice of study and practice of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, has kindly agreed to teach an extensive course of General Tibetan Buddhism and special practice-related materials from the Nyingma tradition. 2006 marked the beginning of this program, which is to last some 6/7 years and cover all aspects of Tibetan Buddhist Sutra and Tantra.

This year Khenpo Rinpoche will begin the Bodhicitta section of the programs and teach the following:

  1. GESHE CHEKAWA’S 7 POINT MIND-TRAINING
  2. LANGRI THANGPA’S 8 VERSE MIND-TRAINING
  3. TOGME SANGPO’S 37 BODHISATTVA PRACTICES
  4. SHECHEN GYALTSAB’S GREAT MEDICINE

Khenpo will also be teaching the LONGCHEN NYINGTIK Preliminaries (NGONDRO) and PHOWA as well as giving the following empowerments:

  1. VAJRASATTVA (according to the tradition of Mindroling, said to be the most blessed)
  2. GURU RINPOCHE (Peaceful: inner Guru sadhana from the Longchen Nyingtik, and wrathful, the Tak-chung Barwa sadhana also from the Longchen Nyingtik)
  3. 21 TARAS
  4. VAJRAKILAYA (from the oral, close lineage of Khyentse Wongpo)
  5. WEALTH GRANTING GURU (Guru Rinpoche as the main deity in this mandala which has all wealth deities e.g. Dzambala, etc. and also the longevity deities, e.g. Amitayus, etc.)
  6. The LONGLIFE SADHANA of TANGTONG GYALPO

Khenpo Rinpoche Yeshe Gyaltsen was born in Riwoche, Kham, in Eastern Tibet. He entered the local monastery at a young age and received extensive training as a Tibetan Doctor, whilst performing several retreats. He came to Nepal to study with H.H. Dilgo Khyentse in 1985 and become one of his close disciples. He completed his studies, whilst teaching extensively at the Shechen University in Nepal, as directed by H.H. Dilgo Khyentse in 1998 and was enthroned as Khenpo by H.E. Trulshik Rinpoche in 2002.

In 2001 he was appointed as the principle teacher to the young re-incarnation of H.H. Dilgo Khyentse.

lamas_0All teachings will be comprehensively translated into English by Ven. Tenzin Jamchen (Lama Sean). He is long-time student of Khenpo Rinpoche and translator of many masters including H.H. Denma Locho Rinpoche, H.E. Trulshik Rinpoche, H.E. Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche, Garje Kamtrul Rinpoche, Lati Rinpoche, etc.

Ven Tenzin Jamchen studied for many years in Dharamsala’s Institute of Buddhist Dialectics and Drepung Monastery; and then later, on the advice of H.H. Dalai Lama, at Shechen Monastery in Nepal.

Khenpo will also be available for medical consultation and is very learned in astrology, divination (Mo) and house puja. Kindly contact us for further arrangement.All the above dharma talks and empowerments will be conducted at Yayasan Guan Yin, Amcorp Mall, PJ, unless otherwise specified. All teaching by Khenpo Yeshe will be translated into English and will be free of charge except for the two retreats.
